Vacant Bank Building Acquisition Symbolizes Progress

Located at the corner of North Avenue and Charles Street in the Station North Arts District, the long-dormant, 1940s-era bank building is slated for restoration! Central Baltimore Partnership (CBP) recently acquired the over 19,000-square-foot building to redevelop it as an anchor for the area’s transformation.

The bank building has been overlooked and consistently covered in graffiti standing as an eyesore and a symbol of urban deterioration. CBP plans to restore its historic façade and attract tenants to position it as an artistic and cultural hub worthy of the entertainment district. It’s a part of their broader vision to create economic growth and investment in Central Baltimore.

Neighborhood Impact Investment Fund (NIIF) is thrilled to support financing for the project, along with support from the State of Maryland’s Department of General Service, Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, and a local foundation.
